Well, not really. I spent most of my retirement savings, and I should be retiring soon as I'm pretty old now. Also, I'm really worried that Trump will kill social security, particularly for people no longer resident in the United Snakes.
The one good thing is that we lucked into an affordable and comfortable old house here in France, so I spent the last of my cash on that; and I'm back to getting a steady income so I'm saving money again.
I'm hoping to retire before I'm 70. Sounds bad but I did have many years just to do my own thing already, and now I can set my hours and I look out over thousand-year-old churches and cathedrals from my desk, and hear birds and rain on my roof. (The roof is Norman slate: it's not even 20 years old and apparently it should be good for 70-100 years after construction!)
So don't cry for me, A̶r̶g̶e̶n̶t̶i̶n̶a̶ District of Columbia.
