Well, this is a complicated article for me!

It unfortunately hits two conflicting hotspots.

On one side, I consider the treatment of people of color by Americans and their media to be an atrocity that has lasted for centuries with no signs of abating.

On the other hand, humanity's obsession with hoarding physical possessions in huge quantities is a sickness which has already condemned our ecosystem to devastation and yet we won't stop doing it.

And there's not one hint in the article that it is perhaps a bad idea to systematically turn our biosphere into disposable--but not recyclable-- electronics garbage, and then kill most of humanity as a result.

Of course, it's usually white people doing it but it is very much not OK no matter who's doing it.

So, sorry, I can't applaud this.
