What about doctors, nurses, plumbers, electricians, or lawyers? None of those are going away. If you want your house painted, there isn't going to be a general purpose machine that do the job, not for generations, and likely forever.

(The reason you think there's no need for librarians is because you don't know what they actually do, and because America has devalued that profession to be equivalent of baby-sitter.)
