What is wrong with these people?

I grew up in the Anglican Church. It's a Christian church! The service would appear completely normal to your average American evangelist, except that they don't tell you how to vote - something which should lose a church their tax exempt status but never seems to.

I don't believe in "the Devil" but really, I do sometimes wonder if most evangelicals essentially worship the Adversary, because it seems they are only happy when they are angry, and wishing ill on others.
