What part of “There is not enough lithium on Earth to build all the electric cars we would need” did you fail to understand?
Like an alcoholic switching from wine to beer, electric cars are not going to fix the underlying problem of “exponentially growing number of humans, each consuming exponentially more of the world’s resources”.
As the writer said, the solution is low-resource transportation — bicycles and mass transport — not “let’s make a billion more cars, but this time electric!”
