What we discovered in the 1970s is that for the last several hundred thousand years, we had been alternating between glacial periods and warmer periods, and that our present day is in what we call an "interglacial period" - the last ice age having ended about 11,000 years ago.
The scientists who discovered this were very careful not to use this to make predictions of what would happen in future, because they already knew about climate change. However, Time Magazine ran with a cover story claiming we were going into an ice age again, and that's what you remember.
And in fact, if humans didn't exist and if we weren't pumping out 33 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere every single year, in about 4000 years we probably would have had another ice age.
You could have spent a few seconds looking up what scientists really said in the 1970s, but you didn't. Why is that?
My guess is that you want to continue you have your false beliefs. You want to be able to say, "All the scientists are liars," so you deliberately don't bother to find the truth.
I cannot respect your dishonest atttitude to the slightest degree. Lying about the destruction of our world makes you a literal monster.
To continue, explain with the math how we can pump 33 billion tonnes of CO2 into our atmosphere each year and not crank our temperature up dramatically.
"I can't do that!" you say! Then why are you offering an opinion about a field that you are completely and deliberately ignorant on?
