What would possibly make you think this? (Or is this article a parody?)

For one, this letter was published all over the world - I read it at the time when I was living in the US - but no terror cells activated.

For another, the idea that the only way that Al Qaeda could get in touch with their "terror cells" was by making press releases to the Western media is so silly that again I'm wondering if this is a parody, but it simply isn't funny enough.

What goes through your head when you make a dramatic and wildly irrational claim like that with no objective evidence at all?
