When she was asked what she was going to do a week after Roe v Wade's overthrow, Harris' answer was, "What do you expect us to do?"

That wasn't bad press - that was not doing your homework.

Worse, the compulsive passivity of that argument does not speak well to Harris' ability to get things done.

I tried to keep an open mind on Harris even though she was a pro-cop, pro-incarceration district attorney, my natural enemy as someone who helped homeless people when I lived in America.

But so far she's been on the wrong side of everything.
