Why bother "answering" my post when you didn't read any of it?

The original story claimed that "we found common ground" with the Nazis after WW2.

Actually, this is false. We hung a lot of them, put a lot more in prison, and then re-educated the rest.

That was my main point. Hard to disagree with that - it's a matter of history.

There was never going to be common ground with the Nazis. They took tens of thousands of people from the city I live in to death camps where - surprise! - they died horribly.

Then I made a perfectly good case for why it will be impossible to find a common ground with people who will not even accept that they have lost the election, who believe that all of science and almost all the world's newspapers are in a conspiracy to embarrass Donald Trump.

Address that argument or go home. Don't repeat the same argument I refuted, it just shows you didn't read what I wrote.

"Maybe it's you", indeed. I'm not even an American! It's not my fault Americans can't get along!

But it's obvious to me even from Europe that trying to have a nice conversation with hostile deluded people who shout over everything you say with lies and racism is a worthless activity.

Tens of thousands of blatant felonies have been committed, including crimes against humanity - crimes that Trump has boasted of.

The next step in a just society would be trials and serious punishments for the criminals, not trying to be nice to Donald Trump and become his buddy because that just ain't never happening nohow.
