Yes, unemployment fell under Obama for everyone, including African-Americans.
(The idea that the President makes unemployment go up and down is not a good one, and makes Trump's first three years look very good, when in fact they were shitty.)
All the policies you mentioned benefited poor white Americans as much or even more than poor Black Americans. And overall, things have gotten worse for poor people in America every year for generations.
There is a festering issue in America that has lasted for centuries, and that's the wildly unfair treatment of Black Americans at the hands of the law and the forces of power. Hundreds of African-Americans are murdered every year by police officers, many done in full view of a camera with wanton, depraved indifference. Any compassionate person would ask themselves, "If they are so cruel when the cameras are on them, what sadists are they when the cameras are off?"
American policing, judiciary and "corrections" are systemically racist organizations that have desperately needed a complete reform for twenty years. This was not on Obama's radar.
The Flint, MI crisis started in 2014 and specifically affected African-Americans. Not on the radar.
Overall, the Obama years saw the degradation of the "good job" continue further. The criminals behind the global financial crisis had looted the economy for literally trillions, and yet the Obama justice department gave them slaps on the wrist, tiny fines far less than their evil gains. "I'm the only one standing between you and the pitchforks" - Obama.
How is it that the Reagan Administration prosecuted all sorts of bankers for minor things, netting them hard time, but Obama couldn't do it for literally thousands of confessed felonies?
Obama was far better than the monster, Trump - far better than the previous monster, W, the Rapist of Iraq.
That doesn't make him good. It was America's last chance, squandered. If it weren't for Obama's failure to deliver for the average American, there would not have been the disgusting President Trump.
