You don't seem to have noticed that Obama did not in fact deliver any of that hope.

The ACA was a bandaid on a sucking chest wound. All it did was boost the number of Americans that are on the terrible US health insurance. Outcomes aren't better; medical bankruptcies are higher than ever. As an older guy, that's why I left.

When it comes to the climate emergency, Obama fought tirelessly on the side of fossil fuels.

The US was in two failing wars, and Obama not only kept those two wars going, he started another failing war in Libya, and "actions" in Syria, Yemen and around the globe.

The global financial crisis involved a huge amount of criminality. Obama protected those financial criminals, while he allowed mortgage holders to twist in the wind. HSBC alone plead guilty to over 1000 counts of money laundering, each of which should be 7-14 years in jail, but no one spent a day behind bars.

Of course the Republicans are far worse.

But given that Obama is the best that America can do, that he sold Americans on "hope" and delivered nothing, it is no wonder Americans have no hope at all.

I certainly lost all hope. I spent most of everything I owned in the world to flee. It's much better from a distance.
