1. What are these things that were unrealistic ten years ago, but now realistic?
I did give a long list of things we've been perpetually promised as "coming in twenty years" and still seem far away.
2. The "magical" part was the idea that BCI's would replace all drugs and cure all depression.
3. If living conditions are the primary cause of depression, then no machine will fix depression.
The original article was simply too hyperbolic. “Depression Will Be Cured By 2030 (And We Won’t Use Antidepressants)” is impossible to believe. “Another weapon to regulate our moods” is something I can agree with 100%.
