Yuck. The worst is that this strategy is very rational and effective but it's in the hands of monsters.

I'm starting to feel that we on the left should have been doing this sort of thing for a long time. Guns are bad, on the balance, and yet we should not have disarmed unilaterally, while our enemies, proud psychopaths, steadily accumulated weapons over decades. (I no longer live in the US or I wouldn't even write this.)

Too late now, I fear. Interesting times, interesting times.
